Nothing much to say here except pictures of my new toy. It's been 4 months since I'm in Norway, which I can
deal with. But it's 4 months without unicycling, which is much much harder. In Paris, I used to cycle
with my 24", but now in Trondheim distances are greater so I needed a bigger wheel. Okay, maybe
distances are the same, but I needed a bigger wheel anyway. So, I ordered a 30" uni from
Pichlerrad. Expensive, yep, but couldn't help it ;)
Enough talk! On to the pictures.

This is it! Don't seem on the picture but it looks biiiig... :). It has a lot of intertia (no kidding);
I was afraid it would be hard going up and down slopes, but it's quite manageable (but I cannot ride (yet!)
steep slopes you may find in forest paths). However, I'll have
to develop those thighs, I was aching after just one hour ride... But maybe it's just a habit, or the
fact that I didn't ride since months.
I just changed the pedals, with more grippy ones. I may change also the cranks for smaller ones (to go faster!!), but slopes will be harder to climb... |

Here's the seat, with a computer (hey, I GOT to know how many miles I made on that beast! I have to break
the 5000km record on my 24";). The wire is attached with sellotape, I should change to
"insulating tape" (aka chatterton) or something else.
The seat is a little bit hard for me. I may change for the Kris Holm one, or tinker it with an inner tube... One last thing: this uni is for tall people. Take a closer look, I cannot lower the seat more than that (actually, just the perfect size for me;) |
